Black Diamond Covert AvaLung Pack

Black Diamond® Covert pack keeps an AvaLung II™ at the ready and eliminates the need to wear it separate from your winter safety pack. AvaLung apparatus can increase the time you have to breathe if trapped in an avalanche; air is pulled in directly from the snowpack via a mouthpiece. Exhaled carbon dioxide is directed out the exhaust tube, extending the time available before an ice layer builds up and seals out oxygen. . Apparatus is built into pack, with the breathing tube enclosed inside the left shoulder strap so the mouthpiece is readily available. Exhaled carbon dioxide exits through a special port at the bottom right of pack. Features large main compartment with sleeve for water reservoir (sold separately); drinking tube routes through insulated right shoulder strap. Also features a dedicated, zippered pocket with sleeves for storing avalanche probes; has room for shovel and related safety gear. Carries skis or snowboard vertically. Keep large gear handy with dual high-and-low ice axe loops and twin elastic cords with cinching cordlocks; upper ice axe loops are reinforced. Features comfortable padded waistbelt, shoulder straps and backpanel; reinforced handle lets you grab and carry when time is critical. .
