Thick and durable split-grain leather uppers, with Cordura® nylon at cuffs and tongues, deliver ample support, durability and abrasion resistance. Seam-sealed Gore-Tex® liners with wicking polyester linings deliver complete protection and allow moisture vapor to escape. Full rubber randing protects feet and uppers from abrasion and impact, and helps increase edging effectiveness. Warm, light and nonbulky PrimaLoft® polyester microfiber insulation delivers great warmth. Durable, shock-absorbing polyurethane midsoles feature a thin upper layer of EVA to supply all-day cushioning and comfort. Rigid, full-length nylon shanks control flex and add the stability needed during use on rough terrain and with crampon use. Vibram° outsoles deliver solid traction on mixed terrain; outsoles are step-in crampon compatible (sold separately).
