Rogers National Recreation Area) and the Iron Mountain Trail. Includes three five-colored, water-resistant, tear-resistant USFS topographic maps with elevation profiles (scale 1:63,360) on Mt. Rogers Rec. Area, Wythe Ranger District, and Blacksburg Ranger District.The book itself has background information, first-aid tips, and sketches of points of interest in each section, as well as long- and short-distance hikes of the A.T. and major side trails.Proceeds from the sale of these guides go back into the protection and maintenance of the AT through the programs of the Appalachian Trail Conference (click to learn about joining) and its affiliated local clubs. The guide is a durably bound 4.5" x 6.5" paperback for trail convenience, printed on recycled paper, and packaged with maps in a re-sealable plastic pouch.
