Spyderco Dragonfly Knife

The challenge was how to make a very small knife feel like a large voracious cutting tool in any size hand. The Dragonfly is the outcome.Spyderco began with an AUS-8 stainless steel blade and added a lightweight handle formed of fiberglass-reinforced nylon resin and incorporates the Volcano Grip pattern for improved handling. It fits comfortably in any hand, providing a variety of grasp positions for maximum purchase and edge control. Then the Spyderco Trademark Round Hole was moved slightly back on the blade. The placement of the hole and the angular handle combine to allow for coordinated, comfortable one-handed opening and closing. A "cusp" on the top spine of the leaf-shaped blade provides a prominent point of grip control for the thumb. Add that to a rounded choil just behind the cutting edge (for the forefinger) and it makes controlling the cut very easy.An overall thin piece, the Dragonfly accomodates both large and small tasks and requires less dexterity for use.
