How Backcountry describes the Teton 4 Tent 4-Person 3-SeasonThe Kelty Teton 4-person 3-season tent is a classic 2-pole dome tent perfect for weekend camping and warm climate backpacking. Whether you're traveling with a party of four, or prefer extra space to store your gear, the Teton 4 provides plenty of room. The Teton saves weight by providing tons of mesh ceiling ventilation. While riding out storms won't be this tent's forte, muggy nights can be spent peacefully thanks to generous airflow. Side wall vents also promote air movement. "tradeoffs on the Teton 4 Tent 4-Person 3-Season This tent is incredibly light for such a large tent. However, there are tradeoffs. For one, the rain fly is small and doesn't keep rain off of the tent very well. You'll stay fairly dry, but don't get too near the sides. Also, getting four people in is a bit of a squeeze if all four are large. On the other hand, this thing is pretty sturdy. It stood up to 65 mph in an unexpected storm in Denali."

" Kelty Teton 4 Tent My wife and I are avid kayakers; we started thinking about camping to mitigate the cost of each trip to the river. She has lots of camping experience, I have none. After looking at probably 150 tents in all price ranges, I decided I wanted a tent with one entrance and vestibule, good interior height and some extra room inside, maybe for a chair or gear. I focused in on the Teton 4, and got a good price. The setup is a snap, took me about 5 minutes. Needed some help with the fly. It is snug, dry, well-ventilated; the construction is excellent. My ONLY complaint would be that the fly does not come all the way down to the ground, except at the corners; so in a windy rain storm, it is possible some water could find its way into the tent. But if I knew there was going to be a windy rainstorm, I wouldn't go camping! So, all in all, for the money I think it's a wonderful tent for lightweight camping!"

" Lightweight large tent... high quality. This tent is huge! I can't believe this thing weighs less than 8 lbs. My wife and I headed up to Roan Mtn in TN and we hiked 13.5 miles over three days, camping both nights. The winds were up over 20 miles per hour, with gusts over 45mph. The tent handled great, and we never had any issues. I believe this is a very high quality tent for the money, and it's a breeze to put together (we set it up in the dark the first night in 10 minutes). We also got some rain overnight and never had any issues with anything getting wet, although we made our own footprint. "

" A Surprisingly Good Tent for the Money If you look at the design of this tent, it's quite unusual. The bottom two thirds of the inner tent is waterproof, while the top third is mesh. The fly is cut with a high arc on the two sides and the back. Essentially, it's a single wall/double wall hybrid. The bottom line is it works! The reduced fly material saves weight, but don't let that concern you, this tent went through a wicked rainstorm without a drop getting inside. Just guy out the fly on the sides and back for more than adequate ventilation with the fly on (lines and stakes are included). Setup is a snap and the quality is top notch. I bought it as a palatial two-person tent, and it is definitely that and more. Three would be comfortable, but four a squeeze, unless two were kids."

" Kelty Teton 4 Got my new tent and it set up in a few minutes .. I was really happy with this until a good rain came and I ended up with leaks at all 4 corners! On a Kelty?? I called Kelty and they said to send it in but I don't want to go thru the hassle yet and will try a seam sealer .. at least Kelty said their stuff has a lifetime warranty so at least I know it will be repaired. But a brand new high end tent should not leak."
