A favorite of gear racks for years, the Oval's versatility makes it a fine all-around choice. Made from cold-forged 7/16" aluminum rod stock and individually inspected for quality and strength. Oval design offers a higher hauling capacity than D's. Symmetrical shape encourages runners to stay at strongest point: the curves; great for aid climbing. Two reversed ovals, with gates opposing, can be substituted for a locking carabiner; can also be used effectively for carabiner-brake rappels.
