Grivel Monte Bianco Ice Axe (Fall 2006)The redesigned Monte Bianco by Grivel is inspired by the traditional requirements of classical alpinism. It reflects the origins of wooden-shafted mountaineering tools, but it is built in accordance with UIAA/ CE B standard (270kg). To achieve this the shaft is a composite of carbon-fiber and wood. The Monte Bianco is a tribute to tradition, with the assurance of today�s standards and technology.
