With an all natural look, this carbon staff has a touch of bamboo but retains the light weight and strength of carbon fiber. Small-diameter carbon fiber creates an ultralight pole that damps vibration and retains strength over a wide temperature range. Upper shaft features a bamboo wrap-around carbon shaft for a natural touch. DuoLock™—an extra-strong internal locking mechanism—provides a big boost in performance. DuoLocks apply a wide area of pressure against pole walls to lock in length adjustment. DuoLocks showed 50% more holding power than other locking mechanisms during REI lab tests. DuoLock's reliability enhances stability and makes length adjustments easy. Three-section telescoping staff extends to 55 in. and compacts to 28.5 in. for easy storage and transport. Red ''stop'' ring indicates the maximum point to which poles should be extended. Ultralight EVA foam grip is easy to grasp; top knob has an inset compass. Fitted with vario trekking disk and extra-durable tungsten carbide tip. Staff attaches around your wrist with a shockcord and cordlock. Includes a walking tip.
