Avid put the smackdown on hydraulic limitations with its Juicy 7 hydraulic disc brakes—and now they feature a refined lever body design. Brakes still supply superior power and control, and lots of setup options. Power Reserve Geometry keeps the braking ratio constant for most of the lever's stroke. This results in very smooth modulation and increased braking power without increasing the effort required from the rider. Speed Dial® pad contact point dial lets you adjust the amount of lever throw required before the pads contact the rotor. Not only are the brakes now balanced, but also the throw is customized for your comfort requirements. Indexed lever reach adjustments allow you to click in your personal preference. Split-perch ambidextrous levers allow easy removal and flopping if you prefer front brake control on the right side. Tri-Align system ensures the caliper is always centered and straight over the rotor even if the frame or fork is out of alignment. Includes Clean Sweep wave-style, serpentine, heat-dissipating 160mm rotor and everything needed to attach to either bracket or post-style mounts.
