Lighter in weight than the standard Hubba, the MSR Hubba HP offers increased protection from nature's unexpected surprises. HP version replaces mesh with solid fabric to shave ounces and protect against rain, wind and snow. Coated 40-denier ripstop nylon floor doubles the standard Hubba's waterproof rating: the HP floor material is lighter and keeps you drier. HP models also include vents in the rainfly, gear lofts, waterproof zippers and adjustable stake loops. High-tech ripstop nylon rainfly reduces weight and the silicon and polyurethane coating increases durability and resistance to damaging UV rays. Configured to maximize the tent's interior space, the all-in-one, swivel-hub pole system is strong and light. Large vestibule provides dry entry and gear storage and still leaves room for a covered food-prep area. Dry Entry design ensures water won't drip into the tent when doors are opened for ventilation in rainy weather. Attention to detail shows in the taped seams, welded reinforcements, ultralight stake loops, reflective guy cords and user-friendly door toggles. Ultralight needle stakes are virtually unbendable and nearly weightless. Save weight and create a minimalist shelter by using just the rainfly, poles and footprint (sold separately).
