SMC Snow Anchor - Large

The SMC Snow Anchor provides maximum climbing protection when pickets and ice screws just won't cut it. Placed as a deadman-style anchor, the Snow Anchor can be effectively used in a running belay on steep climbs or as tent anchor in extreme wind. Angled aluminum blade with 1/8-inch diameter steel cable is positioned to enable the anchor to dive deeper when loaded, piling up snow ahead of it. Cutout holes give the blade excellent bite in snow. Doubles as an emergency digging tool.
